I have been abused by many unknown parties, for no obvious reason.

Based on these photos, your new moniker fits most, uh, excellent.
I live where it snows, but the tree huggers won't allow use of salt ... we use pumice which just chips the paint and breaks windshields.
thats painful too see. i would have to tow my car home.

There is a good reason alone to park it.

The speedos don't work in either of my cars... Just drive fast enough that you're passing everybody except the cops.

Well that's it...snowing outside and the salt/sand truck just came thru..so no more teener till spring.

Unfortunately, I will be joining the salted one and violating a cardinal rule of 914 ownership...driving on salted roads.
The clutch went out on the truck and it is in the shop. The only remaining vehicle I have is the 914. Loaded as much as I could into the car to keep the vending business afloat while the truck is fixed. I may have to make a few trips, but I think it will work:

Car performed well for a day of deliveries, but I am happy to have my truck back for the vending business. Hope to take the teener to the car wash soon to get the salt off of it. Some back streets of Harrisburg were unplowed sheets of ice, with cars on both sides. Just took it nice & slow through them. Ended up meeting Jim McLeod's son in law along the way.

Through Snow and Sleet and Salted Roads, the chips must get through!
Last night got about 6 more inches. Got off work in Baltimore about 8:30pm and drove 60 miles to York PA. It was AWESOME !!!

I appreciate your enthusiasm Mr. Salty, but my 914 is a last resort when the salt hits the roads. Bombing around in a truck with 202K miles almost insures some salt time though.
The goal is to never weld again on my teener.
Laying under the car while installing new transmission output shaft seals, I look up and see this:
