Well, I completed stripping the seam-sealer, glue and paint from the interior firewall today. I'll be painting the complete interior, rear trunk and engine compartment next year, after it warms up.

Here's the before shot. Since I had already prepped the floorboards, I covered the majority of it with paper to help minimize the clean up.

Here's the after shot. I have already covered the window opening, because I'm going to finish prepping the engine compartment next.

damn, thats a job! How are you stripping that, with just a wire wheel? Mine will prob. just get the sand and prime expt where the bracing will be welded in.

Aircraft stripper for the paint and a large wire brush, on an angle-grinder, for the seam-sealer. Finally coating the bare metal with Ospho. Not bad for 8-hrs of work.

BTW, I also removed the paint from the inside of the targa bar, what PITA. I use the 20/80 rule. It will take 20% of my time to do 80% of the work, then 80% of my time to do the last 20% of the work.... biggrin.gif
