Until I put the six in my car I had a 78x105 with flowed heads, titanium valves, dual springs, Crower cam and type 1 lifters, Pauter rods and rockers and a dry sump system. It put out 195 HP and 180 FTLBS torque at the rear wheels at 6300 RPM. It was really easy to drive since at a track like Willow Springs I only had to shift once going up the hill and once coming down. The rest of the time I could just roll onto the throttle and it could easily keep up with most any six. Of could it broke a lot!!! If you want a hot rod, get a six, they'll last!

Hmmm...
93mm x 66mm = 1795cc
Compression ratio of (less than) 7.3:1 (due to age).
~less than 80hp.
that's with all OEM never-replaced 58k (more likely 158k) original miles

A standard 2.0 long block, no fancy valve work beyond new seats/guides, but built with the higher compression "euro" p/c's, heads milled for a little more compression, stock cam, lightened flywheel. When it had SSI heat exchangers and bursch exhaust, I corner balanced it, got the exact weight w/me in the seat, and did a "G-tech" and averaged 85hp at the wheels, with my home made cold air kit. Have since added kerry hunter exhaust w/supertrap, and it seems to have opened up the motor some more, but did that at the end of this last season, did not have time to re-Gtech it for more current #'s. I will G-tech it in the spring, and again after the KitCarlson goes on it.

Lessee if I can remember where all my money went....
2056
96mm KB's
'lightly' lightened flywheel
European's "H" cam
SS valves, good valve job, new guides - NO STUPID HEAD GASKETS-
European's HD springs
Some minor exhaust porting
Heads flycut a teeny bit too
40IDFs - just put on a set of tall intakes - hogged out hugely to match ports on heads
Universal CDI with optical and an 050
Ugly, heavy-assed Monza 4 tip
Don't know HP (best guess, it's a common combo) but it revs to the moon and is ridiculously smoooooooth....
There may be something else, but I haven't finished my coffee yet and I have to get to work
