A New Yorker was passing through the town of Waxahachie, Texas, which is south of Dallas. He whipped into a drive-in restaurant and asked the waitress urgently, "How do you pronounce the name of this place?" She looked at him with a pitying glance and drawled as patiently as she could, "Daaarry Kweeeeeeen."

This Texan was visiting Boston.

When he got off the plane he got a cab and went into town to get something to eat. While in the cab, he rolled down the window and asked a proper looking Bostonian "scuse me paardner, where can stop for a bite to eat at". The proper Bostonian replied "I suggest sir directly before the AT". The Texan said "come again, you ain't makin no sense". The Bostonian explained "it's not proper english to end a sentence with a preposition". "Fair enough" said the Texan. " Where can I stop for a bite to eat at ASSHOLE".
