I bought this on ebay for 914 engine. It has a oil temp sender.
the part #311.117.021B. can it be used on my engine?

Is it from type 4 engine ?
If the part # is 311 and something it looks like it is from VW type 3 engine.
First generation VW Golf GTi used the same kind of cooler too.

Yep Type 3…no good for a T4.
The T 1 or 3 cooler is the same except it has 2 less plates than the T 4 and therefore it is smaller.
