Just wondering if anyone has had any luck fitting these on stock fendered cars. I just put my 15x7 phone dials on (53mm offset with 5/8in spacers 195 65 15 tires)
I would like to go with 17s but there isnt much room left in the wheelwells.
Thanks
_Mark

I have 7X16 boxsters all around running 205's with no spacers...and they clear just fine (the slightly deeper offsets of the boxster rims help with the outer lip spacing). I would assume the 17's would be ok since you'll keep the overall diameter the same with the right tires.
Find a boxster owner and see if you can swap (check your local pca?).
Mark...your car looks familiar..were you at the midwest classic?

I am running 17x5, with 205x55, no problem.

I agree. That there is probably the best looking 914 car/wheel combo I've ever seen. (Retro & Mark - also nice rides)

Thanks
I am actually having the close fit on the inside of the tire, thats why I added the spacers.
I willl definately try to fit some 17s in there, they make the car look so much better.
Thanks

From the photo it looks like the rear fender lips have been pulled a little. C'mon fess up Stephen!
Great looking car though, love that color. Did you get a deal on that blue? That's at least the 2nd car of yours I've seen in that color.

Its very close to the original Adriatic Blue.
The first Blue 914/6 that is now being raced in the SE was from a Dodge Neon blue color, a bit lighter.
I got smacked in the front with this one a few months ago.
It is now getting Fiberglass modified. The finish work is never ending, trying to get things to fit "relatively" nice.
When its finished I may have molds made for resale of front spoiler/bumper, and vented hood. IF there is any interest.
I once showed my aero mirrors, I adapted from the 935 race mirror, but no one was interested in them?

Yup, escort mirrors. They cost me $5 for the pair and they are electric. Now I have to wire them up to the switch in my center arm rest.

my mechanic had them on a 75. Nice looking on our cars if you like the flag-style mirrors.
