I am starting the rust repair on my dads 914-6. I was going to replace the rear trunk pan but now I am not so sure. It has many tiny swiss cheese holes in it that I can weld up and grind down. Would it be better to do that or replace the trunk pan?

It would probably be faster to just cut out the whole area and weld a new piece in.

I'd get a new one. Fix it right. It's a six!
