What's the difference between these 2 rod nuts? The one on top is the old nut and the bottom nut I bought from Porsche p/n 90110317300. This is for a 2.0 motor. Can I use the new part even though it is different?

Are you replacing all the nuts?
Only issue is they may weigh different amounts. Might not be huge issue in a stock app as I think it's something like +/- 5 grams tolerance.

Yes, replacing all nuts. So the new nuts without the bottom flange (bottom nut in the picture) are good to use in a stock motor?

What was the purpose of the flange on the older nuts?
