Wow, that was bad, but sure looks nice now. Well done!!!
By the way, I've learned on this site that a 914 is never done.

What, no pics of dropping it off at The northeast Mecca of 914 ?
Chris will make it run like a top, or as best as he can make that questionable motor work...
Great guys at Foleys! and a real treasure for us to have this resource in the northeast with such a wide range of talent.
Welding, engines, tuning, machine work, and now paint and body work.....just awesome.

No I brought the camera and them forgot because I was rushing to get to my sons house to visit the grandchildren.
I got your message last night and offer about being around but we left very early to get to Chris's. Thanks for your offer.
I would like to stop by someday and visit "The Barn" and your indulgences.
I know Chris and Ed will get everything working smoothly. In the scope of my project, this is just a test bed engine to get the car set up and eventually I will repower with a big for or six conversion. But it would be really nice to drive a great running 1.7 around for a time while I get my act together on a real engine.
I already have another nice case and 2 ltr heads, and I just purchased a running injected 1.7 on the west coast. Building up my core parts stash for a build.
John
