Full Version: metal templates
I was wondering if anyone has a metal template for the hell hole area and maybe other areas that they have repaired? That might be an interesting thing to archive on this site.
PM maddog here on the site, I think he has a few precut pieces.
But what I do is use filing folders to make paper templates, transfer them to 20g steel and cut out with a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder.

I don't, but these guys do.

You can cut 18 gauge sheet metal with aviation snips, 20 gauge easy. You get a little distortion at the edge but it hammers flat easy enough.
