I agree, i spoke to a guy from Australia at EMW and he refered to it as a 'nine one four' as well. It sounded a lot more sophisticated than 'nine fourteen' as we call it.
But strange that I know a few Brits who refer to the 911 as a "Nine eleven," not a "Nine one one."
I like Wheeler Dealers. Agree, that they do often sneak in a ton of work that is never shown, or parts that aren't factored in, but I like the premise of the show. It's a whole lot better than watching the crap we have here where either the shop has ungodly amounts of money for all-new Snap On tools, or the other ones where they bolt on a new set of chrome rims and a headrest TV and charge the owner who knows how much for something an ape could do.
Edd at least attempts to show you, the mechanic, how each item can be fixed, rather than bolting on a ton of new stuff and sucking up to a sponsor. For someone trying to do a quick turnaround on a car to make a couple bucks on the side, it makes it look like you can actually make a little profit (or at least appear that way)
That is, assuming that your time working on it isn't factored into the final sale either.
