I need to weld in some sway bar brackets and was wondering if I should go buy some new welding wire. I'm set up with .024" wire right now on my 110v welder, but I'm wondering if this is to light.

I've got to weld in the u-tabs, triangle brackets and the rear bar nut plates.

What do you think?

Best to ask the welder at the shop you buy the supplies at...

You'll have no problem with that wire. IPB Image
I'm using .023 on sheet metal.

Practice first on some similar scrap. You'll need a lower setting and med to fast wire speed. You don't want to burn holes through your sheet metal.

Use short 1/2 to 1 inch stitches. IPB Image

Take your time.
