Hey guys,
What's the correct torque value on the M6? Some say 4 LBS-ft, on the other hand other guy says 9 LBS-ft.
I have new copper crash washers and orange O ring and am ready to tighten them.
Thanks in advance,
kkid

My Haynes manual says 9.4 lb-ft for the "oil screen cover retaining nut".

Do yourself a favor and put studs in. That way if you over tighten them, you don't crack the boss in the case.

Jake's video (which he has just informed us is out of date) specifies 5~6 ft-lb or 60 inch-lb.
But I like the stud idea.

Thanks for bringing that up to my attention!

Thanks guys for the ideas. I will go with 5-6 lbs-ft this time then will keep the stud technique in my mind for future needs.
