Sorry, I just needed to run this by someone.
I'm looking at buying a used flywheel that was run on a 71.. 6bolt.. 911 motor

seller said he ran it with a 225mm clutch application.

Am I correct in remembering that a stock 914 clutch is actually 215mm?

Is the 225mm application the one where you invert the tranny to a pull clutch?

just want to make sure I don't buy something that won't fit...

thanks all

Bump...

ok so I've verified that a stock clutch is 215mm.

So someone chime in... is the 225mm set up the one that is used on the 71 911 with the other clutch?

sounds like I don't want this flywheel unless I intend to switch the pressure plate too.......

225 MM is a pull type clutch. To use it with a 901, you have to have the correct shift fork, throwout bearing, and clutch disk from a 70-71 911. You have to move the pivot point 14mm outboard, and use the reinforced pivot pin, not the stock one.

The upside is you get rid of the clutch pulley.

Clay,

thanks for your time.. I kinda thought this was the wrong one, but appreciate the verification.
