Full Version: WTB: 914/6 Airbox
Looking for a 914/6 airbox. Let me know if you have or know of one.
Does it have to be an original to a -6? I think they were plastic. I have a steel one from an early 911. No snorkel. Asking $75.
The original 6 box is plastic and rare. If you cant find one, I have a nice plastic early 911 MFI box that will work. No snorkel though.
Here's how the 2 differ. 6 box shown with snorkel. You would need to drill the 4 holes on either side of the carb opening in the 911 box.
Is there an alternate aftermarket piece that can be used instead of the snorkel? What is the snorkel used for?
I have this wide mouth snorkel which fits and is correct for the 72-73 911.

Finally found the matching case for my car, so I'm going 100% stock now. Thanks though.
