About 500 miles north of Toronto. Makes you really appreciate the end of April when I can drive my 914 for 6 months.

I'd move, as soon as I thawed. So what is it in the summer, +20.
Brings a new meaning to snowman, they don't even need snow.

Fuch that!

You guys that live in snow are crazy! chair.gif

There are so many warmer places to live. If I want snow, I can drive 3 hours, then leave when it gets too cold. biggrin.gif

It's supposed to be a high of -15c tomorrow - I'm planning on breaking out the t-shirt and getting some stuff done on the chumpcar in the unheated garage.

(we had the same -40c weather yesterday - yup, Northern / Northwestern Ontario can get a bit frigid this time of year....)

My 12 year old would consider many of you as "wimps".

What he wears on a -8*C day back in the bush. biggrin.gif
Under the coat is just a T-shirt, PJ pants, bare feet and crocks. The crocks are lined....it is winter after all.

Meh… Its just winter…. no biggie Just wish we'd get more snow.

I love skiing but the hill was closed today because it was too cold. Tomorrow it will warm up to -21C so I will hit the slopes for sure.
-30 and colder is a bit too cold to enjoy winter. Next week I will spend a week on the beach in Dominican Republic. That breaks up the winter a bit and then I can come back and enjoy skiing (and Ski Patrolling) up until the end of March and maybe early April if the snow holds out.
After that it gets warm fast and I usually have my teener on the road by the end of April.
In the summer we get days as high as +38C (100F Rare) but usually hovers around the 25C to 30C (78F-99F) throughout July and August.

The oil heater was an option that dealers installed on the bottom of the crank case. It plugged in to 110v and kept the engine block and oil warm for cold weather starting. We still use them today but they are located in the engine block and keep the antifreeze warm.

The good thing about the long winters in the past, it gave me a lot of time to properly do my restorations without have to want to drive them.

Agreed, we need more snow her too. Where in Ontario are you from? Need any parts?
