How do you install one of those plastic fresh air grilles?

914Sixer
You need the rubber gasket that is special for the grill. New ones are not available. Most used ones are in poor shape at this point.
Mike Bellis
You unbolt the fresh air box and insert it.

You may have to remove the fuel tank for access... sad.gif

What! I guess I can forget this plan.

I've never had to remove gas tank. Couple of bolts on the sides of air box and it will drop down to slide grill in.

I just ordered the late fresh air box seal which takes the plastic screen from 914 Rubber. you must specify you need the late version as the early cars didn't have the screen.

I have a 73. Do these have the plastic grilles?
