It's 15F, windy and snowing in Allentown. Scheduled to get 4-6 inches of snow by tomorrow.

How are you making out in your area?

Pretty similar here in SE PA. Slippery ride home from work and hopefully a snow day tomorrow! NJ already declared a state of emergency.

It's exactly like that here in SoCal... Did you see the Rose parade? It didn't even get to 80..

20" fell over the past 30 hours and overnight the wind has packed it into some beautiful drifts. Not digging out 'til much later today.
Overnight low was 0; currently 3 degrees F.

Yeah been stranded here in Saigon for almost 2 months now. It is hard to read about all the record cold and snow fall back home in the US. I have been suffering 75 to 85 degree days and at night it almost gets cold enough to trade the t-shirt and shorts for some long pants while cruising the scooter around,,,,,,almost. bootyshake.gif

About 2-3 inches last night of a snow and ice mix fell in Southern Maryland following a pretty steady rain yesterday afternoon. About an inch of solid ice on the roads around the house. Not expected to get above 25 degrees today...

So much for testing my freshly adjusted valves... dry.gif

Are you driving the 914 today?

"Herculse" was a whiff here in York.
6 inches.
That qualifies as a named storm? Bah. Thats just run of the mill winter weather.

I heard next year Weather Channel will be naming storms that might bring a few sprinkles of rain.

Send some of it our way. The 70 degree days are nice, but bone dry reservoir's are making people nervous around here.

They are saying 18" to 24" fell here, but the wind was so relentless that
there is bare ground in places and a few feet away it is a 4' drift.
Road out here was closed at high tide due to ice sheets rising up and blocking the Turnpike. 2 waterfront houses up the street have lost their decks to the waves and some of the storm drains in the streets are working backwards, bringing ground water up on to the streets.
News trucks at the center and helicopters overhead.

But, high and dry here and no power failures.. life is good.

Oh, yeah.. the way the wind works here..
The house across the street has bare ground and I needed 3 hours with a snow blower to get out. They didn't even need a brush to clear their car off. Amazing.

international falls mn, -48*? fmtt. spoke with a cousin east of buffalo yesterday. they had 3' of snow on the gound. more snow forecast, warm up, some rain, then plummeting temps. ice cube. that so many have been and are still without power is unimaginable. 48* and broken clouds here. tee-shirt weather. no snow at the ski hills. all closed. so much for the early open boom years they've had the past few.
