i would recommend a time sert over a heli coil. waaaaay better fix in my opinion.

Well it's a good system but pricey and requires more material (counter sinking) to be removed. I've had good success with heli coils, especially using loctite blue.

your right, the kits are a little pricey. after buying the kits one at a time (most popular sizes at first) i use them exclusively. especially for spark plug hole repair.
