Sooo,

I've been thinking about the whole daytime running lights thing and how to incorporate this as easily as possible.

How about this: Go to Euro turn signals and use the little white part with some kind of intense LED bulb set up then set up the orange part with the typical two filament bulbs with parking and turn signals. The DRLs would be on even with headlights. .

Whatchay'all think?

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Camp makes some $30 kit to make the USA set up into the European signal mode, I guess you could just use the LED bulb in the lower (clear) compartment where that added bulb goes.

Alternatively, I guess I can relocate these eagle eyes (presently on the fog grilles) into the base of the turn signal housing. In the European version, the power wire leads that feed our USA turn signal markers would be routed to the base of the turn signal housing and feed these eagle eyes. I am pretty sure the eagle eyes mounted at the base of the signal can will give enough light to function as European. OR if you are willing, you can simply drill out the USA lenses and mount the eagle eye directly on the surface of the lense. Now you got me thinking. I'll do a mock it up and see how it looks.

here's a thread on the OEM Euro wiring
