Thx Ron, and Google is also my nemesis. It returned about 4500 results. Seems all the FLAPS came up in the results also.

Chit mad.gif .... I thought it was Newport Beach, CA. Guess I better read it next time. That's what I get for trusting Google to find Newport Beach, CA.

Thought I'd ask again. Anyone know of a shop that will cut and respline 1/2 shafts. I'll UPS them if necessary. Everyone I've called does drive shafts but not 1/2 shafts. I've tried both San Diego and LA areas.headbang.gif This is more difficult than I had imagined. I know there are others that have done this. Who did you use????

Does Sway-Away make new ones that work? Maybe call them.

Sorry I didn't call you back. I tried to find more machine shops but didn't call.

Hey Ron, I figured you were busy and I appreciate all that you do. pray.gif Mark, I called them today but 80% of their staff is at some race so I'll call back Monday. I'd rather throw $150 at a machine shop to re-spline mine than $500 for a new product. Someone here has to know someone in this area. SoCal would be handy but I'm willing to ship if any of you guys have a referral. TIA

OK,you'd have to ship them but Moser engineering has done great work for me in the past at a fair price. I had them shorten and re-spline axles for a vintage Volvo but I'm sure they could do half shafts as well.

Duhhhhhhh. Two duh's actually. So I'm scrolling thru my bookmarks and find this http://www.dutchmanaxles.com/contacting-us . I had the foresight to bookmark this and the senility to forget about it. dry.gif Then to top it off, yesterday I'm talking to my neighbor 2 houses down, and he informs me he owns a machine shop. Hell, I thought he was just another Old Rocker turned Gear Head! smile.gif I quit asking people what they did for a living when a dude told me he was a fluffer. barf.gif Back to the story; my neighbor said he would find someone local to do it. And that the reason most shops don't is the equipment used must be infinitely adjustable to index all the varied requirements. It's expensive and not used enough unless you specialize in that type work. Either way, I'll post the results.

what are these re-splined 1/2 shafts gonna b used for. I may have to do the same thing to get power to the ground using a Subaru engine and c6 chevy corvette transaxle.
