Normally I'd post this in The Sandbox but after watching McMark's video of the suspension and our own NARP videographers work here (oldschool) Jaime I couldn't resist.

Some of the uses for these things I have never thought of before. I am amazed sometimes.

A friend whom lives in Hawaii sent me this link because I am leaving to go back there for a couple of weeks. You don't need to surf to be awestruck so I'd thought I'd share here.

Cool, just got back from Maui, spent a day out by Jaws, they had film crews there filming for Point Break 2 movie. Epic swell last week, it was unreal.

Its pretty cool the stuff we can get just with the GoPro.

Not long ago, Surfer Mag did a story on the inverter of the Go-Pro cam as the first billionaire surfer. Thinking of that fish eye security cam in the PVC pipe I put together years ago..
During that last swell, I met a guy with a quadcopter. His had six blades and a level bubble. He said he had about $1,500 into, it with out the camera.
Something that he showed me that was very cool is the GPS. It was wild to see the guy fly out so smooth and just park it in one spot, with no movement.
You can see it in that video where the waves roll in over time and the copter just stays still.

I am currently filming with a Octocopter and GoPro ! I get some amazing footage and I now need to work on getting my editing hardware updated to I can put together better edits.

With the GPS, I can just hold it at altitude and capture great shots.

Now, if the FAA and government can get the regulations figured out how the air space will be dealt with....
