If I'm going to hook up a CHT to only one cylinder with a spark plug washer type sender, which cylinder is the hottest? I seem to recall it's number four. Is that correct?

Number 3 - closest to the right rear tire.

#3 - That's near where the factory put theirs.

Just a matter of interest is there a certain cylinder on the six like the #3 on a four?

Is that advice for a 911 or 914?
That could be number 1 (on a 911) or number 6 (on a 914)?

On a /6, the number 1 & 2 cylinders run the hottest due to airflow from the fan. There is a reason they put vanes on the alternator cone extension.

poke.gif Right rear; same as your plane. Have you bought one, yet? I may have a nice one laying around.
