I am trying to use the tins of my 1.8LT and put them on my 2056cc . Some don’t seem to fit right, is it just simply because the 96MM pistons are larger?

1.8 top tins won't work on a 2l head

The pistons are bigger, the cylinders are not.

I have 2L top tins, the ones I am having trouble with are the smaller ones that go down the sides of the motor.

The only differences are the top tins and the lower air guides. Everything else is the same.

Back in the day, the 98mm Okrasa/Oettinger aluminum cylinders

had 4 to 6 (I forget) more full-sized fins than the regular cast-iron

ones. One guy I know ground the fins down so he wouldn't give

away he was running those high-dollar parts with massaged tins!

He cooked that motor good.
