Full Version: NPC: Bolts on underside of master cylinder

No Porsche content, so not sure if this belongs in the garage or not . . . if not, my apologies in advance.

I just got the my old Audi back on the road (after doing a variety of repairs) and now the master cylinder is leaking. I've gotten a new MC and a new reservoir, but while looking at the MC in the car I noted that there are 2 bolts on the underside of it. Since they look a little rusty, I thought I would replace them.

They're number 16 in the drawing here:

but there's no PN or specifications.

Anything special about these? In the drawing they look like they have a little nipple on the end . . . .

Any information would be appreciated!

I'd bet that master cylinder fits something else an uses that bottom outlet instead of the side one. The bolt looks like a blanking plug

Do you think it could be this part?
I pulled it from a 914 MS.
It has a 10mm head and 6mm thread.

Well, that looks like it is a stop bolt that engages the piston at some point. At least to me it does.
