I dropped them off at VW paradise, apparently he can't figure out a good way to secure them for machining.

Where have others gotten the 1.7 Lifter arms clearanced?

I thought this would be a quick easy job $$ for some shop but I may just grind them down myself.

I used an angle grinder and flapper wheel... Went very quickly. Then a fine file to deburr anything leftover.

Run away from that shop and find one that can secure them
