Has anyone ever seen this car in the North East racing? I bought this car and I am trying to find out more history of this 1974 914-6 GT. It has a 2.8 RS engine with mechanical fuel injection, it was built from 2.4 911 T engine.

If anyone knows any history please let me know and thanks.

the first picture show what the car looked like minus the stickers
second is after the wing-ectomy
third is the motor

Never seen it before, but it looks nice!

Brant,
We do not know the weight yet as its being scaled and corner balanced ect now for HSR comp. more to come soon of this beast!! its a very quick car just sorting out setup for Daytona in Nov.

That looks like it would be a ton of fun!

I'd love to hear the weight when you get it figured out
wild ass guess... it looks like 2050 to 2100lbs.

that car has been on the board around here before
the previous owner was likely a board member

you really need to re-work that front oil cooler exhaust
exit area should be twice the cooler size
that looks restrictive and ineffecient
even if its marginally keeping things cool... I guarantee you will improve the existing coolers abilities by opening up the exit

nice PCA car!
it might qualify for a IMSA car with a shrink in displacement
its tough to make it a strict vintage car

the car ran at 180 at Sebring in 80 degree temps all day long, the oil cooler exits to the brake ducks. Seems to work good so far but ill keep that in my bag of tricks for later.

The fuel cell in your car is how many gallons??

I would love to see any post from the previous owner as Im looking for info on this car!

where can I find them??

I'm in the dark on this car it was a great deal but it came with a title and no info on the car...... a gamble but for the price a risk worth taking!!

It fits in the HSR GTU class as it sits now with the 2.8 RS motor and mods, the wing and splitter must go per HSR.

the car also has 930 brakes all around, floating rotors up front from:

http://www.vehiclecraft.com/Brakes/930_upgrade.htm

expensive but they work great!!
brant
my cell is 15 gallons

cool that there is a class for that motor
I'm surprised the brakes are legal but nice that they are

Sheridan wide body?

Looks cool. Im not sure if the hood pins, mounted to aluminum braces that appear to be pop riveted to the body are adequate.

I remember a 914 similar to this one running at Lime Rock in the late 90s. It had the wing uprights molded into the rear deck like it looks like your car's are. And the car was a flared blue 914 as I remember. I think I remember the owner's name as Glasser or similar. It was an event run I think by Northern NJ PCA - I'm not sure if he was necessarily a member of that club or perhaps another local chapter. Not sure that helps ...

Scott,

That's where the car came from, and was ran to my knowledge. It was a 914-6 that was slowly converted to what it is now. it started with original flares and the owner kept going further with it each year. The title has a guys name on it that was the second owner to my knowledge, but he has Alzheimer's and does not remember much anymore about the car.

That's why I joined this site to get any history I could, to my knowledge the car was painted this color for a long time, and ran at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen.

Roger's car looks A LOT different under the body work than yours
