Last night there was a thread from Rich H. about a ur-GTI available in Minden, NV. I posted a question to find out just what this was, but this morning the thread is gone.

I'm still wondering - What is a ur-GTI? I know about VW Rabbit/Golf GTI. Is that was this is?

The origial GTI. In the US the "ur GTI" would be a 1983 model. Overseas it would be a 1978 model. One of my all time favorite cars....
