Somehow, I ran across these guys. Not sure why I have not found them before now..... They have about 75 parts listings for 914 parts. Seem to have fair prices and they are combining the shipping charges for me on a couple parts.
Anyone ever deal with them (link below)? I think they are in Colorado.

I believe they do a lot of VW business on Samba. There may be some feedback on that forum

Click deeper. The price you see on the listing page includes shipping, which does seem high, but they will combine stuff. If you click to an individual part you see the breakdown.
