Just put in a oil pressure safety switch for a carb convert fuel pump and instructions say to put the the oil light wire on the" p" pump terminal. That terminal will be 12v when pump is runing and ground when not will that work with the oil pressure light circuit.

Install a diode so the +12V cannot travel back to the oil pressure switch. If not you will have a dead short most likely.
