Deal on Garage Floor Tiles

I am not selling these, or affiliated with them in any way, but I thought some people on here might be interested in these tiles for their 914 shrines!!!!

Oh great, more stuff on my must have list. Anyone have this? been thinking about painting the garage floor this summer or finding something like this. Any problems with the heat for the exhast systems causing it to warp?

Anyone know if these tiles are rubber(elastomeric) or plastic? I'd love to buy a bunch now, and later. Any history/info would be great.

The tiles that are available on overstock.com are not RaceDeck. They are GarageDeck.

A quick Google Search will show you that they are available at quite a few places for the same $129.95 price.

Race deck is the class act. Goes for ~$3.25/sqft. I've vasilated on it as my driveway tracks in much grit. I keep wondering what it will look like next year. It is made of plastic, snaps together. Small gap between panels may lead to surprises underneath in time as well. Seems best suited to car shows, flashy, quick setup/teardown.

oil and other fluids can go down between the tiles making it dificult to clean up spills. My friend told me about the tiles near the entrance to the garage tend to warp if the get too much heat from the sun, he stated that they did go back to their original shape in time. I think these are more for showroom display. At $3.25 a square foot, thats about what it costs for a new gargae floor in concrete.

I for one find it interesting that if you type in www.garagedeck.com that it redirects to racedeck. This would leave me to believe, with copyright laws what they are that they make the garagedeck brand. They also have pictures of the same style tile that is shown on overstock.


While the price may be the same as others, shipping is $2.50.

In my opinion that is a good deal.

Go to www.garonproducts.com and grab some Tigerskin and Tiger prime Epoxy coatings.

I just covered 5,000 square feet with it and love it....

I have tried tose floor tiles in the dyno room and got so pissed off I ripped them up and threw them in the yard.....

Now I use them under the shed when I have to work on my fleet of lawn mowers!

Jake what didn't you like about them? I'd like to get your take on this since I am considering getting these or something like them.

My 2 cents worth, I have Race deck in my garage, the product works well for me as it was the best solution to cover my floor as the floor was in bad shape, and time was a factor. The tiles look great, cleanup nice, way better than a dirty cement garage floor, I used a foam barrier between the floor and tiles which helps insulate and reduces walking on the tile noise. They are not heat resistant, they can handle weight but jackstands will leave an impression. everywhere I have used a grinder, welder or cut off saw I have little melted particles into the tile, even a half imbedded bolt that melted into it. leave an engine running over it long enough and the floor will warp up, It always lays back down flat when it cools, I also have the leading edge of the floor warp up when exposed to the sun.
The good news is that the company backs there warranty, and will replace the bad tiles regardless of the what caused the damage.
Even with all of the draw backs regarding the heat warp, the flooring was still the best alternative for me and my situation.
