Hey All-

Ian and I are building a Lemons racecar with a junkyard blink.gif Suby 2.2 swap and we're looking for advice on wiring.

I'd like to keep some basic street legal functionality - headlights, turn signals brake lights wipers, tach, speedo, stock fuel gauge. Using stock tank but aftermarket lights.

Wondering if its easier to completely pull harness and start new or to strip stock harness back to the basics and reuse so as not to have to run stuff already there.

We have car stripped back and are starting the build. 1st race is in 60 days screwy.gif so we better get busy.

Thoughts?

TIA,

John

Reuse and minimize a stock harness, just pull out what you don't need. Still a ton of work for little gain. A complete stock harness is less than 15 lbs with the fuse panel, so by stripping it you are not saving much.

Other harnesses are not available unless they are 100% custom because of the 914 unique connectors and switches and gauges etc, unless you are going to replace all those too.
