Full Version: Should there be black vinyl under the gas Pedal?

If I recall correctly there's vinyl under the pedal because the carpet doesn't cover that area. Does it go under the assembley with the clutch and brake too?

Hmm, just in front of the cluster I think. Rest is carpet.

I have NEVER seen vinyl covering anywhere on the floor of a 914, under the pedals or anywhere else, unless you're speaking of the foot piece affixed to the carpet just below the pedals.

vinyl covers the floor cross member in front of the seats on my Six. .

There is a pedal board that blocks the view of anything. What would the vinyl do?

my '71, 72 & 73 had vinyl under the carpet on the crossmember
and on the tunnel behind the shifter to the firewall.
