I am seeking info regarding the heater tube inside the longs... what is it made of?

is it a ribbed metal outer tube, with paper insulation in between, then an inner metal tube?

the photo attached is from Motorsports @ zyyz.com

The outside is paper but sprayed with a wax to protect it. There's an aluminum sleeve inside. There's some aluminum mesh within it along with some recycled carpet batting type material for insulation. The ends are brittle white plastic. I think used is the only option.

tks for the reply and info...

I was hoping that the outside layer was metal.... the image shows some rust
on the outside layer....just behind the end fitting??

must be a rust stain from above...

tks again

The rust in the photo is a stain from the mounting bracket.
