911 Flag Mirrors

I recall a thread from long ago where someone found similar mirrors at a pick and pull off of an 80's or early 90's Oldsmobile. They looked really good.

EDIT: Never mind - I found the link, and the Olds mirrors look good, but do not look like what you are after.

PO had mounted these on my car. Field of vision was not that great, especially on the passenger side. They really needed to be mounted further up on the door or on the fenders. Returning back to stock mirrors as part of my restoration.

Those appear to be blacked out Vitaloni (?) Racing Mirrors. Very popular in the '70s.

Not Flag's or Olds... The Olds are more rounded. Closer I can guess is mid 90's Pontiac Bonneville as they square off more, but don't think those are it either...

These look closer Escort GT circa late 89

Non 914 mirrors ALWAYS look wrong to me. Even the 911 mirrors look goofy. Just my opinion......

Hmmm..those mirrors are de rigueur for the times, retro 60's.
What interests me is how you have painted the Fuchs. The set I have needs polishing of the abrasions or some treatment of some kind.I like the way the paint contrasts the polished rims.Looks nice.

The shape looks more like a Talbot mirror than a Vitaloni

Talbot for schnizzle............

Yes, they are Talbots. The PO blacked out all the chrome on the car to blend with the way Porsches were trimming their vehicles in mid-70s. Is anyone interested in the Talbot mirrors?
