Hooked up the E brake and this spring was in with the rest of the items. Since I didn't take it off, I don't know where it goes. Thanks.. Click to view attachment

There is a bracket on the firewall where the cables go through. It has a hole. Spring goes from there to the cable grabber thingy

I don't believe that the spring goes with the e brake. I think that hole is a screw hole for the cover plate. I assume the only return spring is at the calipers.

Yes, that's correct. The plate and hole is for the cover.

But there is a place for the spring to attach underneath.

And it's not on the early two piece handle ebrakes.

Thanks for the link. I could not see the hole without a mirror. After a little cursing, it finally hooked..
