What's gonna be the best source for this joy stick; it controls the up/down and in/out movements of the flag mirror glass.
The numbers on the front are:
3 8349 00
944.613.125.00
The size is 20mm x 18mm
Should electronic stores have these ? I have seen some used ones on Ebay....

Electronics stores won't have them. They may have ones that can be made to work--it depends on exactly what the switch does.
Best bet is a wrecking yard or your favorite Porsche parts pusher. I prefer Pelican, for obvious reasons.
Putting the 944 part number in over there gives you the following page:

Jim,
I am in agreement with Dave on this one. The joy sticks in electronics stores are used for very small current needs, and most likely would not last thru one movement. We are probably talking about micro amps for them and your needs would be high mili-amps at best and maybe even one amp. Electronics store Joy stick 0.0000XX amps, your needs 0.XXX amps or higher. I will look at a couple of places to confirm and PM you back later.
