Full Version: Wheel backspacing issues
So I found some new Empi wheels I want , 4x130 pattern 5.5x15's, but the backspacing is 4 3/8 (VW) and i want to run a tire size of 205/60/15? Worried about pulling the trigger on the wheels and dealing with rubbing issues! Anyone running this combination? Looking for a solid glossy black wheel.

I ran 195's on mine and they were tight! Barely clearing with rolled fender lips. 205's would not have fit.
I now have 14" fuchs and with 195's I have about an inch of space and could easily have 205's
The VW offset looks a little goofy on a 914. Like wearing shoes that don't fit. You can always buy them, try them and sell them,,,

I agree, had a set on my car with 195's and had to take all the shims out to keep rears from rubbing.
They will never run 205's stock.
