I' sure this has been covered several times,
but which optima battery fits in the 914 on the standard tray, from the dimensions I've seen, they appear to be too tall to fit under the drip tray? Also, where did you get yours?

Optima 34R is what I use.

Got mine at Advance Auto.

34R needs to be trimmed a bit to fit in stock tray.

I just ground down one of the mounting legs

I went with the Optima 34 (not R). This put the posts away from the stock rain tray. It was plug and play for me...no clearance problems. I originally tried the 34R but had clearance issues with the posts hitting the rain tray.

Ordered mine online. Next time I need an Optima I will just get one from the local FLAPS.
