I have all the parts to put my 1.7 d-jet back on. I have engine out. Is there a good step by step thread on putting all things back on? If not how would you start?

Thanks,
Buck

Put on the intake runners and the plenum first.

Then put on the throttle body with the TPS.
MAke sure you have a CHT in the head.
Ambient air temp sensor bolted to the case, under the plenum (may want to do that first...)
AAR valve

Add in the multi-prong ground hookups on the case for the fuel injectors.

Replace the distibutor with the correct version.

Then lay the harness in place and start running it.

The harness hooks up to the relay board on the drivers side and the computer on the passenger side.

If you lay the main loom so it goes behind the engine, towards the rear of the car, things start laying out for you.

Part of the harness for the distributor, ambient air, AAR, and FI grounds will lay underneath the runners on the passenger side.

Once you have that laid out the rest of the harness can only go a certain way to be able to reach the intended devices.

Its not super complicated, but searching here for pictures will help alot.

If you get stuck, ask for help and pictures...

Jeff bolsby site has good pics and diagrams. It's worth the effort to get the FI running
