Qarl
That's an invisible sphinctometer for the flux capacitor.

How about a pic? That might help!

Bleyseng

tracks914
It looks like the bell crank that connects the joystick to the rudder.
Either way it's broken so who needs it. laugh.gif
Aaron Cox

StratPlayer
Thats easy,, its an ejection handle, for an ejection seat.
Aaron Cox

hmmm you said you gave us a little hint.....?

Russ K
I'm not sure of the technical name... but most of my friends call it the "taint".

ChrisReale
I deleted that post, because he mentioned Bowlsby, which means it is prolly sumthin to do with FI. Accellerator cable holder?
Carrera916

I like Russ K's answer, but I don't think that's it.
But I do know I cut it off my car.

Looks kinda like the strap that goes behind the trunk hinge ass'y, but the small hole doesn't look quite right for that. I can't think of anything related to wiring (Bowlsby clue) that looks like that. I guess none of the cars I've stripped had one.

I saw a flux capacitor fall off a car on TV once. The car then drove itself off a bridge.
ChrisReale
I think the Millenium Falcon had a flux capacator malfunction icon14.gif icon14.gif
Aaron Cox
hehe....so what is it? what's the prize? mueba.gif
JeffBowlsby
I know! I know! Teacher Teacher call on me!!
Aaron Cox

that is why jeff wasnt allowed to answer biggrin.gif
seanery
Itza support for a factory LE front spoiler/valence thingy.
JeffBowlsby
AKA
Aaron Cox
ahh...crap! there goes my self esteem biggrin.gif WE HAVE A WINNER?
seanery
i wuz right?

woohoo, i aint so stewpid after awll.

i pulled that out of my ass, i didn't even know they had one. haha
Bleyseng
That's it!!!! We have a winner, Sean. I knew Jeff Bowlsby would know what it was. It is off my 76 car as I exploded the orginal oem front spoiler on it years ago. I had saved the brackets.
Sean already has a sticker so that's no good for a prize, so how about a attaboy!

The gear bags also are getting ready to be ordered so maybe those will be a prize in the near future.
Geoff
seanery
damn dude, i forgot to make the change on the logo. shit!

i'll do that first thing in the am, send me a PM and I'll send you the file in the am.

She turned me into a newt!

Burn her, burn her!
Don't get me started you son of a silly person.
My brother and I were just talking about a certain cheese shop (with no cheese) on Monday.
happy11.gif

Oh, back on topic - no wonder most of us would never get that one, the aftermarket airdams don't have the bracket.

Bleyseng
I thought Rusty would get it cuz he has a LE, I never thought Sean would guess it right! Too bad the techwizkid don't stop by too often (DD), I was wondering if he knew.
Geoff
seanery
you didn't think i'd get it right?
I didn't either, BUT....I'm a logical person...and here was my logic...

Since Geoff DQ'd Bowlsby the answer had to be either electrical or LE related.
The part didn't really look electrical and it had some road grime. So I thought to myself,

"Sean, what would have been different on an LE than a standard car?"
"HMMM" I said, "It probably has something to do with the factory front LE spoiler/valence"

and there you have it...my logic....

now, WHAT DO I WIN?
Bleyseng
Dude, you won the bragging rights! Ok, that's not good enough so how about some Coffee! I'll send you some Surinamese coffee beans, that good enough?
That was good thinking on your part, and that was the clue, the dq'ing of Jeff Bowlsby.

Am the only one who has destroyed both a oem and aftermarket front Spoiler?
Jeez, not a great honor either.

Geoff
seanery
oh, i thought maybe I won a LE spoiler/valence thingy....

"I've allready got one, it's very nice"
ChrisReale
I think it is a valve train issue. Geoff and brad are talking about a stronger valve spring that can handle more, thus giving a feww 100 rpm's more of useable "power" Sumthin like that...
seanery
he's responding to my question about torque falling off after 4500 rpm
Bleyseng
ahh, yep the valves and cam. But look at the 100+ ftlbs of torque from 2000 to 4500 rpms! Thats the nice part about these motors.

But father, I don't want all that. I just want to sing!

Why? There is snow year round where Bruce lives and the sun never sets this time of year.
I guess that makes for good skiing!
