Just wondering if anyone has one of these laying around? Would rather give someone here my money before I give AA my money.

AA is not the only retailer out there selling these & other 914 parts, but I'm not knocking them either.

If you want to save to coin, get used from a member on here (bdstone, others) or new from a member vendor on here (GPR, 914Rubber, etc.), or one of the banner advertisers at the top & bottom.

Also, these were used on 911/912/930 so Porsche has them, also used on VWs, BMW's, etc. - so those dealers may also have them. Mostly made by German Bosch or Beru, etc.

Heck, even my `88 VW Westy has them. IIRC they're only about $10-15+/- new.

You could also try Sierra Madre Collection (banner ad as I type - so here's their link from it: http://www.sierramadrecollection.com/ ), TC'Garage, Stoddard's, Einmalig, Aase, Eckler's/Performance Products/Automotion, & many others out there.

Take the part # from the 914 PET parts catalog (free download from the Porsche website's "Classics" section under documents BTW).

I just don't get why everyone assumes AA is the be all, end all source.

There is a two terminal and four terminal version.
I probably have both.
I would but it new as it is not an expensive item as Tom pointed out.
