So for a factory 2.0L, I believe the number of quarts of oil is 3.7 for an oil change. Of course, there is a lot of room down in the sump.
How much oil can you put in without doing any damage? And just run the car as normal on the street?
I'm curious as to whether this could help a 2.0L motor with cooling.

I think most of us just add 4 quarts after we do an oil change, and call it good enough. Running a little high on the oil level shouldn't hurt anything, and can actually give you a moment longer with the oil pickup submerged when you go around a hard corner...

I agree that I usually end up with about 4 quarts in the motor when I change the oil and filter.
So where's the limit (without doing any damage) 4.5 quarts? 5.0 quarts?
Note: This would be a motor without a 3rd party external oil cooler (just the stock motor with stock cooler).

with too much you will see it out your tailpipe.
4.5 is as far as I have gone.
