74, white, no sail vinyl and factory front sway bar. The guy says it is but you'd have to check the vin and get a COA. Jeff would know more. Don't even know if he has the title for it though. He has the 72 listed with a title.

Unfortunately, there isn't much left of it as an LE
It's definitely cheap enough, though. Would be worth putting back together.

With the correct VIN in place, a COA is available. Once an LE, always an LE.

That is what I was thinking. For that price, it would be worth checking out. Once verified, it would be worth a bit more.

From the pics, it looks like a car I sold a few years ago (pretty much in the same shape except for the fender....
See 4742915041 in the VIN database.

Any way to verify that Bryan? I contacted the seller for the VIN...no response yet.

"Jeff,
On the windshield is 4742915041. On the door tag Karosserie is
819542. I never checked the numbers as I just bought as a parts car.
Guy I purchased from thought it was a creamsicle.
Let me know, Thanks,
Trent"
Its one in the same car, and in the LE VIN range.

Wow, creamsicle chassis bought for $166.66? I'd call that a serious bargain!

Take another look at that chassis and tell me again about how it's a bargain...
My Dad used to have a phrase he'd say every time I'd drag home a mongrel like that. "You'll have to jack up the radiator cap and run a new car under that."

Nothing is more expensive than a cheap Porsche

Ok, it's not going to be cheap. But $167 bucks is definitely a cheap start. If it came w/ a matching numbers engine I still think it would be worth it. If not then record the number on Jeff's website & scrap it for parts.

I did
I bought the car from Trent and paid to have the car shipped from Nevada to Georgia over 2000 miles. The shipping cost 8 times more then the car did lol. But it was 100% worth it. Aside from being incomplete, the floors and rear trunk floor are super solid!
I got verbal conformation over the phone from Porsche that ithe car DOES
have the Can Am option! My COA is on the way.
I will be posting a restoration tread once I'm ready to start on it. Im currently working on getting my 76 914 back on the road.

Great project Taylor, thanks for saving this one. Send me an email with your contact information and a copy of the COA and I will up date the LE Registry. Thanks.

Looking forward to seeing this thread/restoration. BTW- the more homework you do for Porsche & the COA, the better the result will be on the COA the send you.
