Ummm
How about one more....of the front bumper....intrigued by the cutout, nice clean look! The bumpers are pretty thin, how did they hold up under surgery?
REALLY love the car
Thanks P! I always said I wouldn't flare the car unless I found some flares locally thinking that would be impossible.. Enter Porbmw! Once I had them at the house, it was a damned slippery slope.
Here's a closer view of the cut out. I drew it up to match the fog grilles as close as possible. Its 3/16" thk to help with mating it to the bumper. Surgery was easy enough, the shaping of the grille is the tricky part. The bumpers have a "smile" profile from center out, so the grille I made is actually radiused. A flat straight grille would drop from the bumper line on the edges. The original contour is retained, you do have to hand shape the grille(Mallet and bag or some blocks), but easy enough. MetalCraft Adam did the rest.
I have the CAD if anyone needs it.
Cheers!
