I have the engine out and need to remove the transmission to transport it. Is it as easy as removing the 3-4 mounting bolts? Are there any "gotchas" that I need to be aware of? Also, is hooking it back up as easy as just putting it together and re-inserting the bolts? All of the upper tin and exhaust has been removed.

You did the hard parts already. Take out the 4 bolts and disconnect - just don't drop it.

Note that one or two of the bolts are removed from the engine side. That's the only tricky part.
Putting them back together is a bit harder. The input shaft has to line up with the clutch disk. A clutch alignment tool (or an old input shaft) can help, but even with that sometimes you have to rotate the trans input shaft just a bit to get the disk to slide onto the splines correctly.

remove the starter 1st to lighten the load. Might take a bit of jiggling it around as you pull it out but a simple task, now.
