I just realized that early cars have a hole in the forward part of the drivers side engine shelf that is plugged with a plastic plug. I checked a 73 74 and 75 and they do not have a hole there. Any one know why it is there?

If it's in the corner (driver's hell hole, it's for the short hose on a 914/6 to come up through the engine tin from the stock hardline (scavenge line) to the tank.

SLITS is always correct. He doesn't always know what he's talking about but he is always correct.
