hi,

I know that AA has a vacuum hose kit for my 73 1.7.

was wondering if anyone has a better idea as to where to purchase?

Personally any place but AA, check pelican, i am sure others on here will chime in soon.

Pelican. I took guestimates as to how much I needed and bought by the meter at Pelican. Can never hurt to have a couple extra feet of this stuff.

I just bought some from McMaster-Carr. Haven't used them yet so don't know how well they will work out, but they were really cheap and I was ordering other stuff anyhow.

Autohausaz.com sells by the meter but you have to go to the VW Beetle for the same year as the 914. Orders over $75 ship free UPS ground.

PP has a diagram for each motor config that depicts the size and length of each segment, very handy. This maybe the same diagram that DD put together.
I bet if you call them they can hook-you-up without going through the math.
