Adjusting the torsion bars raises and lowers the front ride height.

More knowledgeable guys will tell you the procedure and if you will need a realignment.

11mm socket on a wrench, then get under the car, there is an adjuster nut on each side where the torsion bar tube meets the crossmember.

Tighten to raise the car, loosen to lower the car.

Note that any major change in ride height should be followed by at least a 4 wheel alignment, better yet a corner balance and then an alignment.

Early cars use an allen wrench. Can be done without jacking up the car. Just reach in and loosen the bolt.

Anti-swaybars need to be unhooked as well if you've got them.

Good luck

Would loosening the sway bar suffice. Those brackets and drop links are a pain to re - connect mad.gif

Probably not. You can get away with just disconnecting one droplink, that is enough.

All you want is to get rid of any potential pre-load from the swaybar(s) ...
