Who's got one?
It is my understanding that my 71 may not need this but use one of those loose-footed things, but my carpet kit requires it.

I think the one you need is not this one. This one is late. I believe it may be different than the later style.

I'll let some of the 914 gurus chime in, but I think the second picture is the correct one.

What year is your car, Mike?

I think I might have one like in the 2nd pic posted. I'm headed to the shop later today, I'll see if I can find it.

70-72 cars took the thinner insert that created a vertical wall, The 73-74 cars took the thicker one that has a slanted surface for the footrest.
75-76 cars had the thick one with a cutout for the EGR counter.
You want the thin one if you got the correct early carpet kit.
I have both types.

if that's the one, in #7, for your application, that $5 is pretty sweet.

I grabbed one off fleabay for $20 like the one in pic#2. I hope it works out as I do not have the correct early carpet....
